2. Important Information Regarding Delivery

Taxes and VAT

VAT – When purchasing your order online with a non-EU shipping address, all products are deducted the VAT in a checkout. 

Other Taxes – Orders outside the EU may apply additional taxes that are subject to the country of destination. These taxes and duties are not included in your purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer. The import customs bill will be issued to you when the order arrives in your country. Please inform yourself about the customs duties in your country.

New Value-Added Tax (VAT) rules for online shopping enter into force from July 1st 2021. That means that e-shops charge the VAT rate of the EU country where the customer lives. Thus the price in the checkout will change according to the customers countries VAT (more information here).

Delivery time calculation

The time required for delivery can depend on the day of the week, the delivery option you chose and the country that the shipping is being delivered to.

If you place your order before 12:00 GMT on a weekday, then we’ll do our best to dispatch it the same day. However, at very busy times this may not be possible and could take up to 2 business days. 

Upon delivery to the courier, the commodity handling falls beyond the control of Totem. The Time effectiveness above is only provided for reference and the actual one may be different and vary from place to place. Totem will not be liable for the above mentioned Time effectiveness.

You can track the whereabouts of your order at any time with parcel tracking. You’ll receive the Track ID or parcel number and the appropriate link via email.

To guarantee a smooth delivery, we suggest the following:

– It is a good idea to use a delivery address where someone will be present during the daytime to accept the delivery.

– You should make sure the delivery service has your correct telephone number.

– Make use of packet-tracking. By doing so you will have a clear idea when your packet will be delivered, and you will be informed about any problems along the way (e.g. if no one was home or the address was not found). Then you can directly contact the delivery service.
